Rosella O’Neil

Kia ora. My name is Rosella O’Neil. I am a counsellor with 11 years of experience working with historic and recent sexual abuse, 8 of these working with ACC. I am a full member of NZ Association of counsellors.

I welcome male and female clients 18 years and older. I enjoy diversity and value working with clients of varying sexual/gender orientations, ethnicity, spiritual beliefs and backgrounds.

I have many ways (modalities) of working and believe in tailoring therapy to match the individuality of the client.

I have immense admiration for the many people I have been privileged to work with in this area.

I am not currently taking new clients.

It can seem daunting to take the first step so just make a time to come and say hello if that is easier and talk about what it involves before taking the plunge. Kia kaha.

Shirley Lethborg

Shirley Lethborg has been a registered psychologist for 27 years and she works in private practice in Nelson.

Her qualifications include an M.A (HONS),  and a Dip.Ed. Psych from Auckland University.

One of her areas of interest is assessing children and adults with learning difficulties. Shirley has studied two papers in neuropsychology at a Masters level with Professor Janet Leatham at Massey University.  She assesses students at Victoria University who have learning problems. She assesses children and adults who have intellectual disabilities.

Shirley is a member of the NZ Psychological Society.

Marylyn Tait

I was born in Motueka and have Scottish and Shetland island descent. My first career was in kindergarten teaching and now, in the second half of my life, I am a registered psychotherapist working with ACC.

I respect the courage it takes to enter trauma recovery work and am humbled by the many people who have allowed me to be alongside them at this time. I provide a safe, warm and knowledgable environment that allows trauma recovery to unfold.

I work with woman of all ages, couples, young adults and men. I am open to all cultures and gender preferences.  I also work with non ACC clients for many life related issues.

Stacey Bowker

Kia Ora. I am a counsellor with 11 years experience working with sexual abuse, trauma, depression, anxiety, and other life issues.

I work with adults, adolescents and children (9yrs upwards). I welcome clients of all genders, sexualities, spiritual beliefs, cultures and backgrounds.

I understand that it’s a big step to begin counselling. Its important to find a therapist you can grow to trust and feel safe with.

I offer a welcoming and informal therapy environment, and have a holistic view of well-being. You can expect to feel respected, listened to and valued.

I offer a wide range of therapeutic skills and knowledge to help you on your healing journey. We will work together to identify your personal hopes and goals, and to find tools that fit your unique needs, enabling you to make the lasting positive changes that matter to you.

I aim to empower you to successfully continue making progress once you feel ready to finish therapy.

I am a full member of New Zealand Association of Counsellors (NZAC), and a provisional member of New Zealand Association of Psychotherapists (NZAP).
